Who are you? Feel free to say hello! Thanks for visiting my little blog! I’m Mei, a hardworking bachelorette. Just trying to develop a conscious approach to food – anything from logistical stuff like keeping a pantry to understanding the beauty of the cabbage. Oh yeah, and, most of the recipes here are designed to be very frugal. And, I like having a place to explore the role of food in cultural expression: hey, preparing food is really an art! So hey, here’s to “art appreciation.” Cantonese, Japanese, Mexican, Indian and old-fashioned American dishes hold a special place in my culinary heart.
This fine header picture (of ladle, etc.) appears with the kind permission of his royal highness of photographic artistry, Avi.
